A Better Life, set in Los Angeles, follows daily life of a gardener and his high school age son. It is the story about the love and hopes of the father, played by Demian Bichir, for his son and the son’s love for his father. USA Today said this movie was “must see” and the New York Times described it as “touching”. Rated PG13

Jose Julian, who plays the son of the day laborer in the movie A Better Life will be speaking at the Pastoral Center.
