Immigration Resource Training
What can be done if someone is picked up for deportation? What rights do undocumented people have? Who qualifies for citizenship?
Immigration Resource Training will give basic immigration information to parish and community leaders. (Not meant to address specific questions about immigration cases for undocumented community members.) The presentations will be in English and the event will be done as a teleconference. Participants will go to one of four sites and can interact with the presenters through the camera. The goal is to help leaders unfamiliar with immigration issues, e.g., the DREAM Act, Know Your Rights, citizenship requirements to become resources in the community.
